WaspPay USER AGREEMENT
Section: Payouts and User Responsibility
Accuracy of Banking Information
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that the banking details (Account Number, Branch Code, Account Type) you provide to WaspPay for the purpose of receiving reimbursements are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
No Liability for User Error
WaspPay acts as a technical facilitator to route funds from the payer to the beneficiary. We do not verify the ownership of the destination bank account beyond standard format validation.
- WaspPay, its directors, employees, and payment partners shall not be held liable for any loss of funds, delays, or misdirected payments resulting from incorrect or invalid banking details provided by you.
- If funds are settled into an incorrect account because you entered the wrong details, WaspPay is under no obligation to refund, reimburse, or compensate you for this loss.
Irreversibility of Settlements
Once a payout has been successfully processed by our payment gateway to the account details currently on file in your profile, the transaction is deemed final.
- Due to the nature of the South African National Payment System (NPS), we cannot reverse, recall, or redirect funds once they have been settled.
- Any attempt to recover funds transferred to an incorrect account must be pursued by you directly with the financial institution involved. WaspPay cannot act on your behalf in these disputes.
Account Verification
We reserve the right to verify your identity and bank account status before processing large payouts to comply with FICA (Financial Intelligence Centre Act) regulations. However, successful verification does not guarantee that the account belongs to you if you have fraudulently or erroneously provided a third party's details.
